The Today screen: Maya and Leo are with Sam, night 2 of 3, back to you on Monday at 6 PM, and a swap from Sam waiting for an answer.
  • No account, no server of ours

Nothing to sign up for. Nothing about your family passes through us.

  • Your own iCloud

Each parent's record is kept in their own iCloud, end-to-end encrypted.

  • Signed, entry by entry

A record nobody can quietly rewrite. Not the other parent, not us, not even you.

  • Check it free, anywhere

Anyone can check a record in their own browser. The file is never uploaded.

Why it is different

Built so that nobody has to take anyone's word for it.

Other co-parenting apps ask you to trust their servers. Coparent Ally has none. Each parent's iPhone signs what it writes, and each parent's own iCloud keeps it.

A record nobody can quietly rewrite

Every entry is signed by the iPhone that wrote it and linked to the one before. Change a word, or take an entry out, and it shows. Not the other parent, not us, not even you.

Two phones, one agreed record

A schedule change or an expense counts only when the other parent's own iPhone answers it. "Seen" is signed by the phone that showed the message.

Genuine app, per Apple

Apple vouches that each iPhone's signing key was made in the genuine Coparent Ally app. The record and the checker both show it.

Works on your own, better together

Start today, whether or not the other parent joins. When they do, your two records keep in step.

Never lost

Backups go to your own iCloud automatically. A new iPhone brings the whole record back, and each parent holds a copy of the other's shared entries.

How it works

Five minutes to set up. Then it keeps itself in step.

  1. Set up your schedule

2-2-3, 2-2-5-5, alternating weeks or your own rotation, the exchange time, and your country's holidays.

  2. Invite your co-parent

Send an iCloud invitation from the share sheet. They join, see your schedule, and accept it in one tap.

  3. Everything stays in step

Changes, messages and costs reach the other phone within seconds, each one signed. No server of ours in between.

The schedule

Know whose day it is, months ahead.

A calendar you both see, with every rotation, alternating holidays and one-off swaps.

  • Propose a change; it counts when the other parent accepts it
  • Holidays for your country, and your own
  • Reminders before each handover, a widget, and Siri
  • Overnights counted, year to date and month by month
A month calendar with each day coloured by whose home the children are in.

Messages

Say it calmly. It stays said.

Messages and voice messages are part of the record: they cannot be edited or unsent, and each one shows when it was first seen.

  • Voice messages are written out on your iPhone, so the words are in the record too
  • A tone check on your iPhone suggests calmer wording before you send. Only you see it
  • Attach photos, and link a message to a day or an expense
  • Alerts for what matters, never for being seen
A message conversation with a tone suggestion before sending.

Money

Split the costs. Settle up. Keep the receipts.

Every shared expense has a receipt, a split and an answer from the other parent: agreed or disputed, never silently changed.

  • Payments between you, confirmed by the parent who received them
  • Child support schedules and requests to pay
  • The app never moves money: pay however you already pay
Shared expenses: who owes whom, and expenses waiting for an answer.

Kids

Everything about the kids, kept for both homes.

Each child's profile, with their photo, allergies, medicines and which home keeps them, and a health record both of you can add to.

  • Shared contacts: the doctor, teachers, friends' parents
  • Documents: scan a passport or a school report; both of you are reminded before something runs out
  • A shared photo album, and lists you both tick off, like what goes in Friday's bag
A child's profile: allergies, medicines kept at both homes, and a health record.

Calls and handovers

What was agreed, and what actually happened.

Ask for a call with the children and get a yes or another time; both phones remind you when it's due. After a handover, log how it went, and the other parent agrees or gives their account.

  • Late, early or didn't happen, and whose: counted fairly, disputed logs left out
  • Check in at a handover, with an optional photo that stays private to you
  • Calls logged as they happened, for the record
Today: a call to answer, a handover the other parent logged, and an agreed call coming up.

When you need it

A clean report for your lawyer or mediator.

Any dates, as a PDF and spreadsheets: the schedule and what actually happened, overnights, messages, expenses and payments. The signed record goes with it, so anyone can check it.

  • Your journal's words are included only if you choose
  • Your signing key and your backups never are
  • Check any record free, at coparentally.com/verify
Preparing a pack for a lawyer: the report, the signed record and how to check it.

Also in the app

  • Check-ins with a photo
  • Face ID lock
  • iPhone and iPad
  • A private journal
  • Widgets and Siri
  • Holidays and school breaks
  • Overnights counted
  • The schedule in your calendar

The record

A record nobody can quietly rewrite. Not even you.

Nothing is edited or deleted. A mistake is put right with a correction that names it, and both are kept. Here is what that looks like underneath.

  1. YouSep 28 · 7:42 PM

Proposed a swap: Fri, Oct 2 – Sun, Oct 4 with Sam

Signed by your iPhonefingerprint 7f3a c21e

  2. SamSep 28 · 9:03 PM

    Accepted the swap

    Signed by Sam's iPhonelinks to 7f3a c21e

  3. YouSep 29 · 8:15 AM

Added an expense: football boots, $45, split 50/50

Signed by your iPhonelinks to b41d 09e2

  4. If anyone changes a word later

its fingerprint no longer matches the link in the next entry, and the check points to exactly where. Taking an entry out of the middle shows the same way.

The Record screen: the record is intact, 38 entries signed by two iPhones and linked, with each iPhone's identifier.

Check it yourself

Free, in any browser. The file never leaves the computer.

  1. Open coparentally.com/verify on any computer or phone.
  2. Choose the "Signed record" file from a parent's pack. It is read right there; the page is not allowed to connect anywhere.
  3. See every entry, which iPhone signed it, and whether Apple vouches the app was genuine.

Questions

What parents ask first.

More answers, and how to reach us

Does the other parent have to use it?

No. It works fully on your own: the schedule, costs, journal and your own signed record. When they join, your two records keep in step, and changes need both of you.

Is the record accepted in court?

We can't promise that; no app honestly can, and courts decide what they accept. What we can say is that the record is tamper-evident and anyone can check it, and the report says plainly what it is. Coparent Ally is not affiliated with any court and doesn't give legal advice.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Your latest backup is in your own iCloud. Sign in on the new iPhone, open the app, and choose "Restore my record". The new iPhone gets its own signing key; your earlier entries keep theirs.

Is there an Android version?

Not yet. The record lives in each parent's iCloud, so for now both parents need an iPhone or iPad to share it. A parent on Android can still receive the reports you send.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. "Delete everything" in Settings removes it from your iPhone and, if you choose, from your backup folder. The copy in your iCloud can be removed in iPhone Settings, under your name, iCloud. What you already shared stays with the other parent, as a message sent on any app would.

Who pays for Pro?

Either parent. One purchase unlocks Pro on both phones, and the other parent never needs to pay for anything.

Calmer weeks, and one record you both can trust.

Free for both parents. No account. Your own iCloud.
